Beautiful unique house set in three acres of gardens which has three amazing suites to stay in. It was a really wonderful experience and a big thank you to Julien as host.

Julian was a wonderful host, meeting us on arrival, nothing was too much trouble. There are 3 suites, ours was beautifully appointed and everything done to the ‘highest level’. The site, the house the rooms, breakfast, dinner and the host were delightful – Julian deserves to do well! We would certainly hope to go again!

We stayed at this outstanding chateau this past month and had a very enjoyable time. Fabienne is so kind and helpful and makes you feel right at home. The chateau is beautifully decorated and the breakfasts are amazing. Fabienne also made special arrangements for her friend Patrick to make dinner for us at his home and that was also fantastic. I must say that our stay in Les Egrignes and dinner at Patrick’s will be something that our family will always remember as a highlight of any of our travels.

My suite even had a parlour. Immaculate bedclothes, great furniture. The house itself is amazing, takes you back to pre Downton Abbey times. The château interiors in Disney’s animated film Beauty and The Beast could have been inspired by Les Egrignes, silver included. Service is outstanding, attention to detail complete with great conversation. The owner is very knowledgeable in the house’s history. When the time comes to leave you sincerely wish you did not have to. Time stops inside this house, and good old habits left behind like picking up a good book (of which there are plenty, in English, German and French) come back quickly after months of evening smartphone abuse. Highly recommended.
